Janet Lawrence of Distinctive Celebrations is a wonderful resource and help for event planning. We were delighted with our event. Often, the hosts are so "busy" during the event they are unable to really enjoy their guests. Janet took care of the details so we could enjoy our guests and spend time with them. Janet is well connected and has excellent sources for all entertaining needs, including tenting, catering, and decorations.

It’s difficult to find words that truly express how thankful I am for hiring you as our wedding planner. With less than three months notice Distinctive Celebrations was able to put together a gorgeous outdoor wedding that Matt and I both know, without a doubt, will be remembered for years to come. For most young brides-to-be planning a wedding can be one of the most stressful times of their lives. From worrying about choosing the right caterers’ to finding the best DJs, you were able to take care of it all. Distinctive Celebrations made the wedding planning process an enjoyable experience for Matt and I. I would highly recommend DC to anyone looking for an event planner. Just wanted to say what an AMAZING wedding you put together for Karl and I. We had so much fun and everything looked so beautiful. I literally asked that I just show up and everything be put together-you exceeded everyone's expectations!! It was so stressful to have everything change last minute, but you managed to find us a great decorator/florist and new ceremony site quickly and handled everything with a great positive attitude.
You worked very hard this past year and we really felt that our wedding was your top priority...even though I know you were plenty busy. :) I want to especially thank you for all the little details that you spent long nights taking care of so I wouldn't have to. The menu cards and the wish tree were gorgeous! Thank you for all your help, you even managed thru the busy day to give us a double rainbow! I could have never had such a great-stress free day if I didn't have you taking care of everything. You really put my mind at ease even with rain at the ceremony the umbrellas were something I didn't even think of! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! It was truly wonderful and we loved it.
